Location: Maia, on the Dunedin to Port Chalmers road. Graphic: Maia - one of the sisters in the seven sisters star group, Greek, these were the daughters of Atlas who bore the world on his shoulders.    Maia was the youngest daughter .    Jupiter changed Maia and her sisters into stars and cast them into the sky so that everyone could see them.    Maia - a different pronunciation - the Maori word for the "spirit of bravery".
