| Commodore Promotional Video Tapes from mid 1980s to 1990 |
|
Five of the Commodore promotional video tapes that were available in New Zealand when Commodore NZ were in their prime now preserved on DVD. The quality is not what we would expect from more modern equipment, having come from at least second generation video tapes but the content is reasonably good and worth preserving for posterity. The movies are: (1) Dick Anderson, General Manager, Commodore NZ gives a run-down on their purpose-built premises and overall operation (1990). (2) AMIGA 500 promotional video. (3) AMIGA - with Education In Mind. (4) PC10-III is investigated by Joanne Campbell & Tim Brooke-Taylor of UK TV fame. (5) Batman & Robin infiltrate Commodore, Albany, to see what they are up to in New Zealand. Eavesdropping on Commodore Executive meeting, checking their products and their warehouse. The original captured images were movies with a screen resolution of about 352 x 288 while the Batman & Robin movie was 720 x 576.
